Fiat Are Going To America
Recently Italian car manufacturers Fiat bought a controlling stake, somewhere around a twenty percent share, in Chrysler, the American car manufacturer. This also gave Fiat control over Dodge who were owned by Chrysler. The exact details concerning the partnership between the two companies are complicated and are not necessary to delve into.
The important information is that Fiat will be helping Chrysler to make smaller, more fuel efficient cars for sale on the North American continent (which considering the recent hike in biodiesel, should go down quite well). In conjunction with this, Fiat will also be selling its own models on American shores for the first time in its long and prestigious history.
In recent times, Fiat have been creating some very good automobiles. Fun to drive, practical, stylish and economic are just a few of the words that aptly describe the Fiat line-up for 2010. The Fiat 500, for example, is one of the most popular and best selling city cars of recent times. Its appeal stems mainly from its size, its styling and its fuel efficiency. It is also highly practical for those living in crowded and busy cities.
As the world moves into a greener era, so is the car manufacturing industry. It is not all about power and size these days. More exciting is how much you can do with less and how far you can go on less fuel.
Fiat has set the standard for efficiency with their new Multi Jet and Multi Air engines. These new engines, soon to be available across the entire Fiat range, and therefore available in America once the Fiat range is released, help to lower the costs of maintaining a car at no expense to the driving experience.
These new engines mean that Fiat cars are able to provide excellent fuel efficiency whilst lowering emissions. They also drive very well and don’t cost a fortune in the first place. Stylish, clever and cutting edge, these cars should perform and sell extremely well when they land State-side.
