Reducing The Pressure Of Routine Checks.
Not everyone knows oodles about the routine maintenance of a car. We should all check our oil, water and tyre pressures every single week, but only a few of us can be bothered a lot of the time. If it is cold and pelting it down with rain then you don’t really feel like scrambling about on wet concrete, do you? And when you first pass your test, you do not have a great deal of experience. Even if you know how important it is to perform these regular checks, then the whole thing can be quite daunting. An air line at the local garage can look pretty scary if you have never used one before.
A certain young lady I know has just passed her test and got her first car. It’s nothing flash, just a cheap little run-around and she is not yet very knowledgeable about these basic checks. When she called round to see me last night, she was in a bit of a panic because she wanted to check her tyre pressures. Unfortunately, the previous owner of her pride and joy had a nasty habit of scuffing the tyres against the kerb. Because of this, there are no PSI levels to be seen on the sides of her wheels.
And that is when I discovered this amazing little online gadget. It is a website where you can find out the correct tyre pressures for any vehicle as long as you know its registration number. How clever is that? All you need to do is to type in the digits from your number plate and it will instantly tell you how much air should be in your tyres (front and back). It even gives you the pressures for any different sized tyres that may have been fitted to your vehicle.
Before I go, I need to relish in a new purchase. I have just bought the greatest brooks running shoes that I have ever owned. London Marathon, here I come!
