Cars to Be Controlled by Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Most people who drive some form of car transport on a daily basis tend to believe that they are very careful drivers. Yet these days accidents do occur no matter how good a drive you are and in some cases fatalities are the end result. In an effort to build safer cars many automakers have spend millions of dollars to develop and promote safety features. One every growing category of safety features are those called Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
ADAS features are known to provide drivers with not only safety but also convenience. The more popular and common of these features include night vision, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. The more advanced ADAS features tend to me a bit controversial at times as they tend to actively assist drivers in avoiding accidents.
Now ADAS features are unlike airbags and seat-belts which work to mitigate the effects of a car crash, they tend to act preemptively. These features are not only designed to increase your chances of surviving a crash but also decrease injury but to also prevent an accident from occurring. In some cases the ADAS feature may take control of the vehicle from the driver. This includes the collision avoidance system which has the ability to apply the brakes automatically and the lane departure system which steers the car back on track should it leave the lane.
Many of the advanced systems use a laser sensor or radar to monitors the environment around the vehicles and uses the information to make decision based on their settings.
