Fast and Green - The List of Top Four Green Sports Cars
The green car movement is getting lot faster these days and sports car being no exception from the movement. In this article, I am writing about few green sports cars that are getting a lot of attention:
The Rinspeed sQuba
This electric car is loaded with so many features that it is difficult to classify it into any one category. This car is completely electric and do not use any fuel. This amazing vehicle does great underwater as well and its all-electric manufacturing ensures that it runs perfectly fine even in an oxygen-less environment. This green car only uses bio-degradable lubricants and is completely emission free bringing it to the top in the list of green sports cars.
The Lightning GT
Manufactured by British Manufacturer Lightning, the Lightning GT is only car that can beat Tesla’s 0-60 speed’s record time of 3.9 seconds. Partly funded by UK government this fancy car can be yours with an investment of $300,000 and rising.
The Tesla Roadster
A road monster, you ask it and the Tesla Roadster delivers it. The real bargain car, it offers the fastest zero to sixty time followed only by the Lightning GT. It offers driving range at 250 miles and even faster than the famous (and somewhat outdated) Venturi Fetish. The only limitation that the Tesla Roadster has is that it isn’t submersible. With a price-tag of $100,000, it is probably one of the cheapest electric cars available. No wonder, why so many rich and famous Americans are waiting to own one of this green wonder.
The Fisker Karma
Here’s a green car that is cheaper than the Roadster. The hybrid version of green sports cars, the Karma can drive for as long as 50 miles without using even a single drop of gasoline. A bad news for gasoline or red diesel suppliers! After you have completed 50 miles, a small gasoline-powered generator kicks on to recharge the battery. So, you can keep on driving for 100 miles without needing to recharge your car’s battery. Although the Fisker Karma needs a longer time frame to accelerate from 0-60, but it has a faster top speed as compared to most other cars.
So, mentioned above are four of the most attention-catching green cars. Certainly these cars are out of budget for a regular consumer. May be a regular consumer should wait for a more feasible and budget-friendly green car option.
